How and when to enter The Shoot Out Toowoomba 2006

The Shoot Out dares filmmakers to come to Toowoomba to make a short film on video in 24 hours

from Friday night to Saturday night over one weekend.

In 2006 The Shoot Out Toowoomba is being held from 13th - 15th October 2006.

Filmmakers have from 9pm Friday night until 9pm Saturday night to complete and hand in their film.

Given the time restrictions, filming is completed on video format and the final product dubbed

onto the VHS tape supplied.

Participants are encouraged to enter prior to the night of registration.

• Payment must be provided with completed Entry Forms. 

• Entry Forms will not be accepted if incomplete.

- $38.00 (gst included) non-refundable team entry fee;

(this initial fee also covers the entry fee for one team member)

- $15.00 (gst included) non-refundable entry fee for every other team member

                          

On registration night, entrants can :
• book a time for dubbing their final footage from digital to VHS format
• book a time to listen to music in the dedicated Music library

The Basic Conditions

There are certain basic conditions that provide a challenge for even the most skilful filmmakers

and immediately create a level playing field for all competitors. The films must be:
• 7 mins or less
• use in camera editing only, and
• include a number of selected items.

The selected items are specific to Toowoomba to ensure that the films are made in Toowoomba.

The items are issued five minutes prior to the start of the event. After that they are listed on the website.
