The Shooting Brief

On the night of registration all entrants must register their attendance. Upon registering, teams will receive their 'showbags', VHS 10 min tape and any additional information required.

Registration of the existing and new entrants occurs from 5.30pm at the Empire Theatre precinct.

After registration, teams must assemble at 8.45pm in the registration area for the Briefing Session. At this time the selected items are announced and teams provided with a complete list.

At 9pm Friday night, the competition starts.
By 9pm Saturday night, the tape must be handed in.

The following is the 2004 Shoot Out Brief to filmmakers - please be advised that the brief differs significantly from year to year.

Filmmakers must include 5 of the following items in their film. At least one item MUST appear in the first shot.

1. The statue of "Puppy" at Picnic Point on Tourist Road.

2. The "Exceloos" in Neil Street near Jessie Street.

3. The 'Toilet Bowl' fountain at the Ruthven street end of the Bell Street Mall (near the clock).

4. The water tower in the children's playground on the corner of Poinciana Street and Poplar Street.

5. The sign "Laurel Bank Croquet Club Inc" on the clubhouse in Laurel Bank Park, Herries Street.

6. The cactus against the wall of the house in Campbell Street. (Please respect the owner's privacy)

7. A public clock tower either the City Hall (Ruthven Street near Herries Street) or the old GPO (Margaret Street)

8. The park bench seat under the tree at Webb Park near the Webb Park sign. Eastern end of Campbell Street.

9. The phrase: "Grease is the word"

10 A Metal Tree sculpture in Margaret Street between Station Street and Ruthven Street.

11 "Will Anderson's Undies " (may be written or spoken)

12. An electric kettle.

13. A pink elephant. (one may be found in Hodgson Street near Bowen Street.)

14 A Lamington.

15. A red mail box
